The "Trace des caps", you could follow the first sections at the time of the excursion of the Anse Caritan to Baie des Anglais, continues here towards north. A succession of splendid beaches, most of the time deserted leads you to the Anse Macabou.
The excursion begins in the Pointe Michel. On your line, the Anse Michel and the Chevalier Islet. On the left, the Anse au Bois. The beaches are sheltered the broad one by a coral barrier. Transparent water is not very deep. Also calm, the fishermen do not hesitate to cross the lagoon over narrow rafts of bamboos.
More to north, the path skirts the Anse Esprit, the Anse Noire, the Anse la Balle and the Anse Poirier to join the Cap Ferré. You will have to circumvent the Cul de sac Ferré to reach the Pointe Macré and the Anse Macabou. On the way, you will not have meet lot of people, the majority of the beaches being inaccessible by car.
